Psalm 108 Prayed

Psalm 108 Prayed
Praying for the global triumph of the gospel

   Our hearts are steadfast, O God;
            We will sing and make music with all our
            souls.
   Awake, guitar and piano!
            We will awaken the dawn.
   We will praise you, O Lord Jesus, among the
            nations;
            We will sing of you among the peoples.
   For great is your love, higher than the heavens;
            your faithfulness reaches to the skies.
   You have given us faith and love
            that spring from the hope
            that you have stored up for us in heaven.
   We have heard about it in the word of truth,
            the gospel that has come to us.
   All over the world this gospel is bearing fruit and
            growing,
   just as it has been doing among us
            since the day we heard it
            and understood your grace in all its truth.
   Therefore be exalted, O God, above the heavens,
            and let your glory be over all the earth.

   Save us and help us with your right hand,
            that those you love may be delivered.

   Speak, O God,
            from your sanctuary.
   In triumph, parcel out the continents
            and measure off every valley on earth.
   Let North America be yours,
            Let South America yours;
            Let Europe be your helmet,
            Let Asia be your  sceptre.
  Let Australasia  be your washbasin,
            upon all nations toss your sandal;
            over every country, shout in triumph.

   Therefore empower us to go
            and make disciples of all nations,
   baptising them in the name of the Father
            and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
   and teaching them to obey everything you have
            commanded us.
   For surely you are with us always,
            to the very end of the age.

    Who will bring them and us to the fortified city?
            who will bring us all to Mount Zion,
   to the heavenly Jerusalem,
            the city of the living God?
   Who will bring us all to thousands upon thousands
             of angels in joyful assembly,
    to the church of the firstborn,
            whose names are written in heaven?
            Who will lead us to every continent?

   Is it not you, O God, you who have rejected us
            and no longer go out with our evangelists?
   Give us aid against our enemy the devil,
            for human help is worthless,
   because the whole world
            is under control of the evil one.
   The god of this age has blinded the minds of
            unbelievers,
               so that they cannot see the light of the gospel
   of the glory of Christ,
            who is the image of God.
   With you we will gain the victory,
            and you will trample down our spiritual
            enemies,
   for you have promised, O God of peace,
            soon to crush Satan under our feet.

Psalm 108
A song. A psalm of David.

1   My heart is steadfast, O God;
            I will sing and make music with all my soul.
2   Awake, harp and lyre!
            I will awaken the dawn.
3   I will praise you, O LORD, among the nations;
            I will sing of you among the peoples.
4   For great is your love, higher than the
            heavens;
            your faithfulness reaches to the skies.
Col. 1:5 the faith and love that spring from the hope that is stored up for you in heaven and that you have already heard about in the word of truth, the gospel 6 that has come to you. All over the world this gospel is bearing fruit and growing, just as it has been doing among you since the day you heard it and understood God’s grace in all its truth.
5   Be exalted, O God, above the heavens,
            and let your glory be over all the earth.

6   Save us and help us with your right hand,
            that those you love may be delivered.

7   God has spoken from his sanctuary:
            “In triumph I will parcel out Shechem
            and measure off the Valley of Succoth.
8   Gilead is mine, Manasseh is mine;
            Ephraim is my helmet,
            Judah my sceptre.
9   Moab is my washbasin,
            upon Edom I toss my sandal;
            over Philistia I shout in triumph.”

Matt. 28:19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.

10   Who will bring me to the fortified city?
Heb. 12:22 But you have come to Mount Zion, to the heavenly Jerusalem, the city of the living God. You have come to thousands upon thousands of angels in joyful assembly,  23 to the church of the firstborn, whose names are written in heaven.
            Who will lead me to Edom?

11   Is it not you, O God, you who have rejected
            us
            and no longer go out with our armies?
12   Give us aid against the enemy,
            for the help of man is worthless.
1John 5:19 .. the whole world is under the control of the evil one.
2Cor. 4:4 The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.
13   With God we will gain the victory,
            and he will trample down our enemies.

Rom. 16:20 The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet.
