Psalm 147 Prayed

Psalm 147 Prayed
Praising God, praying for revival

   O how we praise you Lord.

   How good it is to sing your praises, O God,
              how pleasant and fitting to praise you!

   You build up your Church;
              you gather the exiles of Israel.
   Although Israel has experienced
              a hardening in part,
              until the full number of the Gentiles
              has come in,
              Yet all Israel will be saved.
   So you draw those separate from Christ,
              excluded from citizenship in Israel
   and foreigners to the covenants of the promise,
              without hope and without God in the world.
   In Christ Jesus you bring us all near,
              who once were far away,
              through the blood of Christ.
   And so you heal the brokenhearted
              and bind up our wounds.

   You determine the number of the stars
              and call them each by name.
   You are great, O Lord, and mighty in power;
              your understanding has no limit.
    You sustain the humble
              but cast the Wicked One to the ground.

   We sing to you, Lord, with thanksgiving;
              we make music to our God, on the harp.
   You cover the sky with clouds;
              you supply the earth with rain
              and make grass grow on the hills.
   You provide food for the cattle
              and for the young ravens when they call.

   Your pleasure is not in the strength of the horse,
              nor is your delight in human ability;
   you delight in those who fear you,
              who put their hope in your unfailing love.

   Extol the Lord with me, O people of God;
              praise your God, O Church,
   for he strengthens the bars of our gates
              and blesses our people within us.
   For Jesus has built his church upon the rock,
              and the gates of Hades will not overcome it.
   He grants peace to our borders
              and satisfies us with the finest of wheat.

   For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile,
              you are the same Lord is Lord of all
              and  you richly bless all who call on you.
   How, then, can they call on the one they have not
              believed in?
   And how can they believe in the one
              of whom they have not heard?
   And how can they hear without someone preaching
              to them?
              And how can they preach unless they are sent?
   O Lord, send your command to the earth,
              let your Word the Bible run swiftly:
   You spread the snow like wool
              and scatter the frost like ashes.
   You hurl down your hail like pebbles.
              Who can withstand your icy blast?
   Now melt the icy hearts of this land, O Lord,
              send your word and melt them;
   stir up the breezes of your Holy Spirit,
              and let the living waters flow.

   You have revealed your word in the Bible,
              your laws and decrees to your Church.
   You has done this for no other religion;
              they do not know your laws or your grace.
   Have mercy on them and bring them to Jesus,
              so the whole world can join together in singing
              your praises.
    O how we praise you Lord Jesus.

Psalm 147

1   Praise the LORD.

   How good it is to sing praises to our God,
              how pleasant and fitting to praise him!

2   The LORD builds up Jerusalem;
              he gathers the exiles of Israel.
Rom. 11:25  …Israel has experienced a hardening in part until the full number of the Gentiles has come in.  26 And so all Israel will be saved,
Eph. 2:12 remember that at that time you were separate from Christ, excluded from citizenship in Israel and foreigners to the covenants of the promise, without hope and without God in the world.  13 But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far away have been brought near through the blood of Christ.
3    He heals the brokenhearted
              and binds up their wounds.
4   He determines the number of the stars
              and calls them each by name.
5   Great is our Lord and mighty in power;
              his understanding has no limit.
6   The LORD sustains the humble
              but casts the wicked to the ground.
7   Sing to the LORD with thanksgiving;
              make music to our God on the harp.
8   He covers the sky with clouds;
              he supplies the earth with rain
              and makes grass grow on the hills.
9   He provides food for the cattle
              and for the young ravens when they call.

10   His pleasure is not in the strength of the
              horse,
              nor his delight in the legs of a man;
11   the LORD delights in those who fear him,
              who put their hope in his unfailing love.
12   Extol the LORD, O Jerusalem;
              praise your God, O Zion,
13   for he strengthens the bars of your gates
              and blesses your people within you.
Matt. 16:18 …on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it.
14   He grants peace to your borders
              and satisfies you with the finest of wheat.

Rom. 10:12 For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile—the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him… 14 How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them?  15 And how can they preach unless they are sent?..
15   He sends his command to the earth;
              his word runs swiftly.
16   He spreads the snow like wool
              and scatters the frost like ashes.
17   He hurls down his hail like pebbles.
              Who can withstand his icy blast?
18   He sends his word and melts them;
              he stirs up his breezes, and the waters
              flow.

19   He has revealed his word to Jacob,
              his laws and decrees to Israel.
20   He has done this for no other nation;
              they do not know his laws.

               Praise the LORD.
