Psalm 96 Prayed

Psalm 96 Prayed
Worshiping Jesus in his glory

   Sing to the Lord Jesus a new song;
            sing to Christ, all the earth.
   Sing to the Lord Jesus, praise his name;
            proclaim his salvation day after day.

   We declare your glory among the nations,
            your marvellous deeds among all peoples.

   For you are great, Lord Jesus, and most worthy of
            praise;
            you are to be feared above all gods.
   For all the gods of the nations are idols,
            but you are the Lord who made the heavens.
   Splendour and majesty are before you;
            strength and glory are in your sanctuary,
   where the four living creatures and the twenty-
            four elders
            fall down before you, the Lamb of God.
   Each one has a harp and they hold golden bowls
            full of incense,
            which are the prayers of the saints.
   And they sing a new song:

   “You are worthy to take the scroll
            and to open its seals,
   because you were slain,
            and with your blood you purchased men for
            God
            from every tribe and language and people and
            nation.
   You have made them to be a kingdom and priests
            to serve our God,
            and they will reign on the earth.”
   The voice of many angels, numbering thousands
            upon thousands,
            and ten thousand times ten thousand,
   they encircle your throne and the living creatures
            and the elders.
            In a loud voice they sing:
   “Worthy is the Lamb, who was slain,
            to receive power and wealth and wisdom and
            strength
            and honour and glory and praise!”

   Ascribe to the Lord Jesus, O families of nations,
            ascribe to the Lord Jesus glory and strength.
   Ascribe to the Lord Jesus the glory due his name;
            bring an offering and come into his courts.
   Worship the Lord Jesus in the splendour of his
            holiness;
            tremble before him, all the earth.

   We will say among the nations,
             “The Lord Jesus reigns.”
   The world is firmly established, it cannot be
            moved;
            you will judge the peoples with equity.

   Let the heavens rejoice, let the earth be glad;
            let the sea resound, and all that is in it;
            let the fields be jubilant, and everything in
            them.
   Then all the trees of the forest will sing for joy;
             they will sing before you, Lord Jesus, for you
            are coming,
            you are coming to judge the earth.
   Then the creation itself will be liberated
            from its bondage to decay
   and brought into the glorious freedom
            of the children of God.
   For we will not all sleep, but we will all be
            changed—
            in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last
            trumpet.
   For the trumpet will sound,
            the dead will be raised imperishable,
            and we will be changed.
   For the perishable must clothe itself with the
            imperishable,
            and the mortal with immortality.
   When the perishable has been clothed with the
            imperishable,
            and the mortal with immortality,
            then the saying that is written will come true:
   “Death has been swallowed up in victory.”
            “Where, O death, is your victory?
            Where, O death, is your sting?”
   O Chief Shepherd, when you appear,
            we will receive the crown of glory
            that will never fade away.
   You will judge the world in righteousness
            and the peoples in his truth.
   For we must all appear before your judgment seat
            O Christ,
            that each one may receive what is due us
            for the things done while in the body,
            whether good or bad.

   Amen. Come, Lord Jesus.

Psalm 96

1   Sing to the LORD a new song;
            sing to the LORD, all the earth.
2   Sing to the LORD, praise his name;
            proclaim his salvation day after day.
3   Declare his glory among the nations,
            his marvellous deeds among all peoples.

4   For great is the LORD and most worthy of

            he is to be feared above all gods.
5   For all the gods of the nations are idols,
            but the LORD made the heavens.
6   Splendour and majesty are before him;
            strength and glory are in his sanctuary.
Rev. 5:8 And when he had taken it, the four living creatures and the twenty-four elders fell down before the Lamb. Each one had a harp and they were holding golden bowls full of incense, which are the prayers of the saints.
9 And they sang a new song: “You are worthy to take the scroll and to open its seals, because you were slain, and with your blood you purchased men for God from every tribe and language and people and nation. 10 You have made them to be a kingdom and priests to serve our God, and they will reign on the earth.” 11   Then I looked and heard the voice of many angels, numbering thousands upon thousands, and ten thousand times ten thousand. They encircled the throne and the living creatures and the elders.  12 In a loud voice they sang: “Worthy is the Lamb, who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and strength and honour and glory and praise!”

7   Ascribe to the LORD, O families of nations,
            ascribe to the LORD glory and strength.
8   Ascribe to the LORD the glory due his name;
            bring an offering and come into his courts.
9   Worship the LORD in the splendour of his
            holiness;
            tremble before him, all the earth.

10   Say among the nations, “The LORD reigns.”

            be moved;

11   Let the heavens rejoice, let the earth be glad;
            let the sea resound, and all that is in it;
12             let the fields be jubilant, and everything in
            them.

             Then all the trees of the forest will sing for
            joy;
13a             they will sing before the LORD, for he
            comes,
            he comes to judge the earth.
Rom. 8:21 that the creation itself will be liberated from its bondage to decay and brought into the glorious freedom of the children of God.
1Cor. 15:50 I declare to you, brothers, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable.  51 Listen, I tell you a mystery: We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed—  52 in a flash, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, the dead will be raised imperishable, and we will be changed.  53 For the perishable must clothe itself with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality.  54 When the perishable has been clothed with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality, then the saying that is written will come true: “Death has been swallowed up in victory.” 55 “Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting?”
1Pet. 5:4 And when the Chief Shepherd appears, you will receive the crown of glory that will never fade away.
13b   He will judge the world in righteousness
            and the peoples in his truth.
2Cor. 5:10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive what is due him for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad.

Rev. 22:20  … Amen. Come, Lord Jesus.
