Psalm 65 Prayed

Psalm 65 Prayed
Praying for all the blessings of global evangelization

   Praise awaits you, O God, in your Church;
            to you our vows will be fulfilled.
   O Jesus, who hears our prayers,
            may all people come to you.
   When we were overwhelmed by sins,
            you forgave our transgressions.
   Blessed are those you choose
            and bring near to live in your presence!
    We are filled with the good things of your house,
            of your holy temple.
   For we ourselves are your temple,
            and your Holy Spirit lives in us.

   You answer us with awesome deeds of
            righteousness,
            O Jesus our Saviour.
   You are the hope of all the ends of the earth
            and of the farthest seas.
   You formed the mountains by your power,
            having armed yourself with strength,
   you stilled the roaring of the seas,
            the roaring of their waves.
   Now, by you power,
            still the turmoil of the nations,
   For your Father gave us you, his Son,
            and the government is now upon your
            shoulders.
   Lord Jesus, you are the Wonderful Counsellor,
            the Mighty God,
   the Everlasting Father,
            for anyone who has seen you
            has seen the Father.
   You are the Prince of Peace.
   Of the increase of your government and peace
            there will be no end.
   You reign on David’s throne
            and over your kingdom,
   establishing and upholding it
            with justice and righteousness
            from that time on and forever.
   The zeal of your Father
            has accomplished this.
   Therefore hasten the day, O Lord,
            when never again will there be
            an infant who lives but a few days,
            or an old man who does not live out his years;
   when he who dies at a hundred
            will be thought a mere youth;
   when he who fails to reach a hundred
            will be considered accursed.
   When they will build houses and dwell in them;
            they will plant vineyards and eat their fruit.
   When no longer will they build houses and others
            live in them,
            or plant and others eat.
    For you have promised that as the days of a tree,
            so will be the days of your people;
   your chosen ones will long enjoy
            the works of their hands.
    They will not toil in vain
            or bear children doomed to misfortune;
   for they will be a people blessed by you, Lord
            Jesus,
            they and their descendants with them.
   Before they call you will answer;
            while they are still speaking you will hear.
   The wolf and the lamb will feed together,
            and the lion will eat straw like the ox,
            but dust will be the serpent’s food.
   They will neither harm nor destroy
            on all your holy mountain.
   May those living far away fear your wonders;
            where morning dawns and evening fades
            call forth songs of joy.

   O Jesus, you care for the land and water it;
            you enrich it abundantly.
   The streams of God are filled with water
            to provide the people with grain,
            for so you have ordained it.
   You drench its furrows
            and level its ridges;
   you soften it with showers
            and bless its crops.
   You crown the year with your bounty,
            and your carts overflow with abundance.
   The grasslands of the desert overflow;
            the hills are clothed with gladness.
   The meadows are covered with flocks
            and the valleys are mantled with grain;
            they shout for joy and sing.
   Lord Jesus, you are the farmer
            who went out to sow your seed.
   The seed is the Word of God,
            and only you can prepare good soil,
   only you can give people a noble and good heart,
            who hear the word, retain it,
            and by persevering produce a crop.
   When you see the crowds, you have compassion
            on them,
            because they are harassed and helpless,
            like sheep without a shepherd.
   You still say to your disciples,
            “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are
            few.”
   You have opened our eyes
            and we have seen the fields!
            They are ripe for harvest!
   We now ask you, O Lord of the harvest:
             Send out workers into your harvest field.
   Raise up missionaries and evangelists,
            and give me the boldness
            to tell those around me of your redeeming love.

   O Jesus, the Holy Spirit and your bride the Church
            say, “Come!”
            May all who hear say, “Come!”
   Whoever is thirsty, let them come;
             and whoever wishes,
            let them take the free gift of the water of life.
   Amen. Come, Lord Jesus.

Psalm 65
For the director of music. A psalm of David. A song.

1   Praise awaits you, O God, in Zion;
            to you our vows will be fulfilled.
2   O you who hear prayer,
            to you all men will come.
3   When we were overwhelmed by sins,
            you forgave our transgressions.
4   Blessed are those you choose
            and bring near to live in your courts!
      We are filled with the good things of your
            house,
            of your holy temple.
1Cor. 3:16 Don’t you know that you yourselves are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit lives in you?
5   You answer us with awesome deeds of

            O God our Saviour,
      the hope of all the ends of the earth
            and of the farthest seas,
6   who formed the mountains by your power,
            having armed yourself with strength,
7   who stilled the roaring of the seas,
            the roaring of their waves,
