Psalm 126 Prayed

Psalm 126 Prayed
Praying for the spiritual harvest

O Lord, when you brought us to our senses,
and we escaped  the trap of the devil
who has taken us captive to do his will,
we were like those who dreamed.
   For we were born again,
              not of perishable seed,
              but of imperishable,
through the living and enduring word of God.
Our mouths would be filled with laughter,
our tongues with songs of joy.

So let it be said among the nations,

‘The Lord has done great things for them.’

O Lord you have done great things for us
and we are filled with joy.
Restore our fortunes, O Lord Jesus,
              like streams in the desert.

Open our eyes and make us look at the fields,
              O Lord!
Help us to see that they are ripe for harvest.
The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few.
We therefore ask you, the Lord of the harvest,
to send out workers into your harvest field.

I pray that we may be active in sharing our faith,
so that we will have a full understanding
of every good thing we have in Christ.
May we sow in tears of compassion for the lost
and reap with songs of joy.
   May we go out weeping,
carrying the seed of the Word to sow.
May the seed of the gospel  fall on good soil,
and let people hear the word and understand it.
   May they produce a crop,
yielding a hundred, sixty or thirty times
              what was sown.
Then we return with songs of joy,
carrying sheaves of those you saved with us.

Psalm 126
A song of ascents.

2Tim. 2:26 and that they will come to their senses and escape from the trap of the devil, who has taken them captive to do his will.
1   When the LORD brought back the captives to
              Zion,
we were like men who dreamed.
1Pet. 1:23 For you have been born again, not of perishable seed, but of imperishable, through the living and enduring word of God.
2   Our mouths were filled with laughter,
our tongues with songs of joy.
Then it was said among the nations,
“The LORD has done great things for them.”
3   The LORD has done great things for us,
and we are filled with joy.
4   Restore our fortunes, O LORD,
              like streams in the Negev.
John 4:35 … I tell you, open your eyes and look at the fields! They are ripe for harvest.
Luke 10:2 He told them, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.
Philem. 6 I pray that you may be active in sharing your faith, so that you will have a full understanding of every good thing we have in Christ.
5   Those who sow in tears
will reap with songs of joy.
6a   He who goes out weeping,
              carrying seed to sow,
Matt. 13:23 But the one who received the seed that fell on good soil is the man who hears the word and understands it. He produces a crop, yielding a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown.”
6b will return with songs of joy,
              carrying sheaves with him.
