Psalm
70 Prayed
Struggling with doubt
Hasten, O God, to save me;
O
Lord Jesus, come quickly to help me.
I feel like I am out of the
boat,
and
trying to walk on water,
to
come towards you.
But I have seen the wind and am
afraid.
I
am beginning to sink.
May those thoughts that seek my
life
be
put to shame and confusion;
may all those that desire my
ruin
be
turned back in disgrace.
May those doubts that say to
me, “Aha! Aha!”
turn
back because of their shame.
I cry out to you, “Lord, save
me!”
Immediately,
reach out your hand and catch
me.
For I am of little faith.
Why
do I doubt?
Help me to take my eyes of the
size of my faith,
for
you have promised me,
“If you have faith as small as a
mustard seed,
you
can say to this mulberry tree,
‘Be uprooted and planted
in the sea,’
and
it will obey you.”
For it is not the size or
power of my faith
that
could do this, O Lord,
but
the size of your power.
So may I be with all who
seek you,
who
rejoice and are glad in you;
may I be with those who love
your salvation,
always
saying, “Let God be exalted!”
Yet I am poor and needy;
come
quickly to me, O God.
You are my help and my
deliverer;
O
Lord Jesus, do not delay.
