Psalm 61 Prayed

Psalm 61 Prayed
Dedicating myself to the service
and worship of King Jesus

   Hear my cry, O God my Father;
            listen to my prayer.
   From the ends of the earth I call to you,
            I call as my heart grows faint;
            lead me to the rock that is higher than I.
   For you have been my refuge,
            a strong tower against the foe.
   I long to dwell in your tent forever
            and take refuge in the shelter of your wings.

   For you have heard my vows, O God;
            you have given me the heritage of those who
            fear your name.
    Fill me with the knowledge of your will,
            through all spiritual wisdom and
            understanding.
   Help me to live a life worthy of the Lord Jesus
            and I please him in every way:
   bearing fruit in every good work,
            growing in the knowledge of you,
   being strengthened with all power
            according to your glorious might,
   so that I may have great endurance and patience,
            and joyfully give thanks to you, O Father,
   for you have qualified me to share in the
            inheritance of
            the saints in the kingdom of light.
   You have rescued me from the dominion of
            darkness
            and brought me into the kingdom
            of your Son Jesus, whom you love,
   in whom I have redemption,
            the forgiveness of sins.

   Increase the days of King Jesus’ reign,
            his years for many generations.
   For he has been enthroned in your presence
            forever;
            you have appoint your love and faithfulness to
            protect him.
   Help me to see Jesus,
            who was made a little lower than the angels,
            now crowned with glory and honour
   for he suffered death,
            so that by the grace of God,
            he might taste death for everyone.
   Then will I ever sing praise to your name
            and fulfil my vows day after day.
   I will join with the great multitude in heaven that
            no one could count,
   from every nation, tribe, people and language,
            standing before the throne and in front of the
            Lamb.
   Those wearing white robes and holding palm
            branches in their hands,
             as they cry out in a loud voice:
   “Salvation belongs to our God,
            who sits on the throne,
            and to the Lamb.”
   I will worship with all the angels standing around
            the throne
            and around the elders and the four living
            creatures.
   I will join them as they fall down on their faces
            before the throne
            and worshiped you, O God, saying:
  “Amen!
            Praise and glory
            and wisdom and thanks and honour
            and power and strength
            be to our God for ever and ever.
   Amen!”

Psalm 61
For the director of music. With stringed instruments.
Of David.

1   Hear my cry, O God;
            listen to my prayer.
2   From the ends of the earth I call to you,
            I call as my heart grows faint;
            lead me to the rock that is higher than I.
3   For you have been my refuge,
            a strong tower against the foe.
4   I long to dwell in your tent forever
            and take refuge in the shelter of your
            wings.                                                            Selah

5  For you have heard my vows, O God;
            you have given me the heritage of those
            who fear your name.
Col. 1:9  For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you and asking God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all spiritual wisdom and understanding.  10 And we pray this in order that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and may please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God,  11 being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience, and joyfully 12 giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in the kingdom of light.  13 For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves,  14 in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.

6   Increase the days of the king’s life,
            his years for many generations.
7   May he be enthroned in God’s presence
            forever;
            appoint your love and faithfulness to
            protect him.
Heb. 2:9 But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels, now crowned with glory and honour because he suffered death, so that by the grace of God he might taste death for everyone.
8   Then will I ever sing praise to your name
            and fulfil my vows day after day.
Rev. 7:9  After this I looked and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and in front of the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and were holding palm branches in their hands.  10 And they cried out in a loud voice:
            “Salvation belongs to our God,
            who sits on the throne,
            and to the Lamb.”
11 All the angels were standing around the throne and around the elders and the four living creatures. They fell down on their faces before the throne and worshiped God,  12 saying:
             “Amen!
            Praise and glory
            and wisdom and thanks and honour
            and power and strength
            be to our God for ever and ever.
             Amen!”
