Psalm 112 Prayed

Psalm 112 Prayed
Praying for God’s blessing in all of life

   O how I praise you, Lord Jesus.
            Bless me O Lord, for I fear and respect you.
   Help me to find great delight in your promises,
            so I can find ever greater delight in your
            commands.

   Let my children be mighty in the land;
            let them be among the blessed generation of
            the upright.
   Let wealth and riches be in my house,
            and may the righteousness you have given me
            endure forever.
   Even in darkness, let light dawn for me.
            Let me be like you, O Jesus;
            a gracious and compassionate and righteous
            person.
   For you are the light of the world,
            and since I am follow you,
   I trust that you will never let me walk in darkness,
            but have the light of life.

   May I, who with an unveiled face already am
             already reflecting your glory,
            continually be transformed into your likeness
            with ever-increasing glory,
   which can only come from you,
            O Lord, through your Holy Spirit.
   Help me to put off my old self,
            which is being corrupted by its deceitful
            desires;
   and make me new in the attitude of my mind,
            so I can put on the new self,
            which you have created so I can be like you,
            in true righteousness and holiness,
   so that I may become blameless and pure,
            a child of God without fault
            in a crooked and depraved generation,
            so that I may shine like a star in the universe.
   Help me to take off my old self with its practices
            and put on the new self,
            which you are already renewing
            in the image of its Creator.

   Let good come to me so I can be generous and lend
            freely,
            Help me to conduct my affairs with justice.
   Let me never be shaken;
            make me a righteous person who will be
            remembered by you forever.
   Let me have no fear of bad news;
            may my heart be steadfast, trusting in you,
            Lord Jesus.
   Let my heart be secure, let me have no fear;
            in the end let me look in triumph on my
            spiritual foes.
   Let me scatter abroad my gifts to the poor,
            may my righteousness endure forever;
            Let my strength be lifted high in honour.

   May the wicked see and be vexed,
            may they gnash their teeth and waste away;
            let the longings of the wicked come to nothing,
   so that they turn away from their foolishness,
            repent and believe in you, Lord Jesus, and so
            be saved.
   Then they too may enjoy the blessings
            that can only come from knowing you,
            O Lord.

Psalm 112

1   Praise the LORD.
     Blessed is the man who fears the LORD,
            who finds great delight in his commands.
2   His children will be mighty in the land;
            the generation of the upright will be
            blessed.
3   Wealth and riches are in his house,
            and his righteousness endures forever.
4   Even in darkness light dawns for the upright,
            for the gracious and compassionate and
            righteous man.
John 8:12  When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness , but will have the light of life.”

2Cor. 3:18 And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord’s glory, are being transformed into his likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.
Eph. 4:22 You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires;  23 to be made new in the attitude of your minds;  24 and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.
Phil. 2:15 so that you may become blameless and pure, children of God without fault in a crooked and depraved generation, in which you shine like stars in the universe
Col. 3:9 Do not lie to each other, since you have taken off your old self with its practices 10 and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its Creator.

5   Good will come to him who is generous and
            lends freely,
            who conducts his affairs with justice.
6   Surely he will never be shaken;
            a righteous man will be remembered
            forever.
7   He will have no fear of bad news;
            his heart is steadfast, trusting in the
            LORD.
8   His heart is secure, he will have no fear;
            in the end he will look in triumph on his
            foes.
9   He has scattered abroad his gifts to the poor,
            his righteousness endures forever;
            his horn will be lifted high in honour.

10   The wicked man will see and be vexed,
            he will gnash his teeth and waste away;
            the longings of the wicked will come to
            nothing.
