Psalm 143 Prayed

Psalm 143 Prayed
Praying for deliverance

   O Lord Jesus, hear my prayer,
              listen to my cry for mercy;
   in your faithfulness and righteousness
              come to my relief.
   Strengthen me by the grace that is in you, Lord
              Jesus.
   Do not bring your servant into judgment,
              for no one living is righteous before you.
   For your sake I have lost all things.
              I consider them rubbish,
   that I may gain you, O Christ
              and be found in you,
   not having a righteousness of my own
              that comes from the law,
   but that which is through faith in you—
              the righteousness that comes from God
              and is by faith.
   I want to know you, Christ ,
              and the power of your resurrection
              and the fellowship of sharing in your
              sufferings,
   becoming like you in your death,
              and so, somehow,
              to attain to the resurrection from the dead.

    Yet the spiritual enemy pursues me,
              he seeks to crush me to the ground;
   he longs to make me dwell in darkness
              like those long dead.
   So my spirit grows faint within me;
              my heart within me is dismayed.

   I remember the days of long ago;
              I meditate on all your works in the Bible
              and consider what your hands have done.
   I spread out my hands to you;
              my soul thirsts for you like a parched land.

   Answer me quickly, O Jesus;
              my spirit fails.
   Do not hide your face from me
              or I will be like those who go down to the pit.
   Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing
              love,
              for I have put my trust in you.

   Show me the way I should go,
              for to you I lift up my soul.
   Rescue me from my dark enemies, O Lord,
              for I hide myself in you.
   Fill me with the knowledge of your will
              through all spiritual wisdom and
              understanding.
   Help live a life worthy of you, O Lord
              so that I may please you in every way.
   Let me bear fruit in every good work,
               and keep me growing in the knowledge of
              God,
   Strengthen me with all power
              according to your glorious might
   so that I may have great endurance and patience,
               and joyfully give thanks to the Father,
   who has qualified me to share
              in the inheritance of the saints in the kingdom
              of light.
   For he has rescued me from the dominion of
              darkness
   and brought me into your kingdom, O Jesus,
              for you are the Son he loves,
   and in you I have redemption,
              the forgiveness of sins.
   So teach me to do your will,
              for you are my God;
   may your Holy Spirit
              lead me on level ground.
   For your name’s sake, O Jesus, preserve my life;
              in your righteousness, bring me out of trouble.
   In your unfailing love, silence my enemies;
              destroy all my spiritual foes,
              for I am your servant.
   You are faithful, O Lord,
              so strengthen and protect me from the evil one.

Psalm 143
A psalm of David.

1   O LORD, hear my prayer,
              listen to my cry for mercy;
      in your faithfulness and righteousness
              come to my relief.
2Tim. 2:1 You then, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.
2   Do not bring your servant into judgment,
              for no one living is righteous before you.
Phil. 3:8 …for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them rubbish, that I may gain Christ 9 and be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ—the righteousness that comes from God and is by faith.  10 I want to know Christ and the power of his resurrection and the fellowship of sharing in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death,  11 and so, somehow, to attain to the resurrection from the dead.

3   The enemy pursues me,
              he crushes me to the ground;
   he makes me dwell in darkness
              like those long dead.
4   So my spirit grows faint within me;
              my heart within me is dismayed.

5   I remember the days of long ago;
              I meditate on all your works
              and consider what your hands have done.
6   I spread out my hands to you;
              my soul thirsts for you like a parched land.
                                                                                    Selah
7   Answer me quickly, O LORD;
              my spirit fails.
   Do not hide your face from me
              or I will be like those who go down to the
              pit.
8   Let the morning bring me word of your
              unfailing love,
              for I have put my trust in you.
   Show me the way I should go,
              for to you I lift up my soul.
9   Rescue me from my enemies, O LORD,
              for I hide myself in you.
Col. 1:9   …we have not stopped praying for you and asking God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all spiritual wisdom and understanding.  10 And we pray this in order that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and may please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God,  11 being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience, and joyfully 12 giving thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of the saints in the kingdom of light.  13 For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves,  14 in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.
10   Teach me to do your will,
              for you are my God;
      may your good Spirit
              lead me on level ground.
11   For your name’s sake, O LORD, preserve my
              life;
              in your righteousness, bring me out of
              trouble.
12   In your unfailing love, silence my enemies;
              destroy all my foes,
              for I am your servant.
