Psalm 32 Prayed

Psalm 32 Prayed
Finding God’s forgiveness

   O Lord, bless me with the knowledge that
            my transgressions are forgiven,
            my sins are covered by the blood of Jesus.
   Bless me with the knowledge that
            you do not count my sin against me.
            Let there be no deceit in my spirit.
   Wash me, sanctify me, justify me
            in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ
            and by the Holy Spirit.

   When I kept silent,
            and refused to bring my sin to you,
   my bones wasted away
            through my groaning all day long.
   For day and night
            your hand was heavy upon me;
   my conscience accused me,
            my bitter regret punished me,
   my strength was sapped
            as in the heat of summer.

   If I say that I have no sin,
            I deceive myself, and the truth is not in me.
   If I confess my sins,
            you are faithful and just
            to forgive my sins
            and to cleanse me from all unrighteousness.

   So I acknowledge my sin to you, O Father,
            and do not cover up my iniquity.
   I say, “I confess
            my transgressions to you, O Lord”—
   and you forgive
            the guilt of my sin.
   For the blood of Jesus, your Son,
            purifies me from all sin.

   Therefore let everyone who is godly pray to you
            while you may be found.
   Surely when the mighty waters rise,
            they will not reach me.
    You are my hiding place;
            you will protect me from trouble
            and surround me with songs of deliverance.

   Because of your grace to me, O Lord,
            you will never force me to obey.
   Instead, instruct me and teach me
            in the way I should go.
            Counsel me and watch over me.
   For you called me to be free.
            But do not let me use my freedom
            to indulge the sinful nature,
            but rather to serve others.
   For you do not want to treat me
            like the horse or the mule,
            which have no understanding
   but must be controlled by bit and bridle
            or they will not come to their owner.

   Many are the woes of those who do not
            know your forgiveness,
   but your unfailing love
            surrounds me, for I trust in you.

   I will rejoice in the Lord Jesus and be glad,
            for he has made me righteous;
   I will sing your praises,
            for you have made me upright in heart!

Psalm 32
Of David. A mask.

1   Blessed is he
            whose transgressions are forgiven,
            whose sins are covered.
2   Blessed is the man
            whose sin the LORD does not count
            against him
            and in whose spirit is no deceit.
1Cor. 6:11 ..But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.

3   When I kept silent,
            my bones wasted away
            through my groaning all day long.
4   For day and night
            your hand was heavy upon me;
     my strength was sapped
            as in the heat of summer.                        Selah

1John 1:8 If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.

5   Then I acknowledged my sin to you
            and did not cover up my iniquity.
     I said, “I will confess
            my transgressions to the LORD”—
     and you forgave
            the guilt of my sin.                                     Selah
1John 1:7 ..and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.

6   Therefore let everyone who is godly
            pray to you
            while you may be found;
      surely when the mighty waters rise,
            they will not reach him.
7    You are my hiding place;
            you will protect me from trouble
            and surround me with songs
            of deliverance.                                     Selah

8   I will instruct you and teach you in the way
            you should go;
            I will counsel you and watch over you.
Gal. 5:13  You, my brothers, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the sinful nature; rather, serve one another in love.
9    Do not be like the horse or the mule,
            which have no understanding
       but must be controlled by bit and bridle
            or they will not come to you.

10  Many are the woes of the wicked,
            but the LORD’S unfailing love
            surrounds the man who trusts in him.

11  Rejoice in the LORD and be glad,
            you righteous;
sing, all you who are upright in heart!
