Psalm 128 Prayed

Psalm 128 Prayed
Praying for God’s blessings

   Lord Jesus, bless all who love and fear you,
              all who walk in your ways.
   Since we live by the Spirit,
              help us keep in step with the Spirit.
   Bless us with the fruit of the Spirit;
              bless us with love, joy peace,
              patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness
              gentleness and self-control.
   May we eat this fruit of your labour within us,
              and blessings and prosperity will be ours,
   giving us an inheritance can never perish, spoil or
              fade—
              You keep will it in heaven for us.

   May our marriages be like a fruitful vine
              within our homes.
   May our children be like olive shoots
              around the Lord’s Table.
   For you have promised to bless
              all who love and fear you.
   Lord Jesus, bring many sons and daughters to glory,
              for it was fitting that your Father,
              for whom and through whom everything
              exists,
   should make you, the author of our salvation
              perfect through suffering.
   Both you, who makes us holy
              and we who are being made holy
              are of the same family.
   So you are not ashamed to call us
              your brothers and sisters.

   O Lord Jesus, bless us from the heavenly Zion
              all the days of our lives;
   may we see the prosperity of your Church
              and live to see our children's children come to
              faith.

              Peace be upon the people of God.

Psalm 128
A song of ascents.

1   Blessed are all who fear the LORD,
              who walk in his ways.
Gal. 5:25 Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit.
Gal. 5:22                  But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,  23 gentleness and self-control.
2   You will eat the fruit of your labour;
              blessings and prosperity will be yours.
1Pet. 1:4 and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade—kept in heaven for you,
3   Your wife will be like a fruitful vine
              within your house;
     your sons will be like olive shoots
              around your table.
4   Thus is the man blessed
              who fears the LORD.
Heb. 2:10                  In bringing many sons to glory, it was fitting that God, for whom and through whom everything exists, should make the author of their salvation perfect through suffering.  11 Both the one who makes men holy and those who are made holy are of the same family. So Jesus is not ashamed to call them brothers.

5   May the LORD bless you from Zion
              all the days of your life;
              may you see the prosperity of Jerusalem,
6               and may you live to see your children’s
              children.

              Peace be upon Israel.
