Psalm 130 Prayed

Psalm 130 Prayed
Placing my hope in the gospel

   Out of the depths I cry to you, O Lord Jesus;
               O Lord Jesus, hear my voice.
   Let your ears be attentive
              to my cry for mercy.

   If you, O Lord, kept a record of sins,
              O Lord, who could stand?
   But with you there is forgiveness;
              therefore you are feared.
   For your Father demonstrated his own love for us
              in this:
              While we were still sinners, you died for us.
   Since we have now been justified by your blood,
              how much more shall we be saved
              from God’s wrath through you!

   I wait for you, Lord Jesus, my soul waits,
              and in your Word I put my hope:
   “If we confess our sins,
              he is faithful and just and will forgive us our
              sins
              and purify us from all unrighteousness.”
   My soul waits for the Lord
              more than watchmen wait for the morning,
              more than watchmen wait for the morning.

   O Lord Jesus, may Israel and all other nations,
               put their hope in you,
              for with you, O Lord Jesus, is unfailing love
              and with you is full redemption.
   For you yourself bore our sins in your body on the
              tree,
              so that we might die to sins
              and live for righteousness;
   You yourself have redeemed your people
              from all our sins.
   For you redeemed us from the curse of the law,
              by becoming a curse for us,
   for it is written:
              “Cursed is everyone who is hung on a tree.”
    You gave yourself for us,
              to redeem us from all wickedness
   and to purify for yourself a people that are your
               very own,
              eager to do what is good.
