Psalm 34 Prayed
Deliver
the afflicted
I will extol you, O Lord, at all times;
your
praise will always be on my lips.
My soul will boast you, Lord
Jesus;
let
the afflicted hear and rejoice.
Glorify the Lord Jesus with me;
let
us exalt his name together.
I sought you, Lord Jesus, and
you answered me;
you
delivered me from all my fears.
Those who look to you are
radiant;
their
faces are never covered with shame.
This poor person called, and
you heard me;
you
saved me out of all my troubles.
Jesus, you are the angel of the
Lord,
you
encamp around those who revere you,
and
you deliver us.
O let me taste and see how good
you are;
how
blessed I am when I take refuge in you.
Help me to fear you, O Lord,
along
with all the saints,
for
those who fear you lack nothing.
The lions may grow weak and
hungry,
but
those who seek you,
O
Lord, lack no good thing.
Let children listen to me;
so
I can teach them the to love and respect you.
May they love life,
and
desire to see many good days,
May they keep their tongues
from evil
and
their lips from speaking lies.
Turn us from evil and help us
to do good;
to
seek peace and to pursue it.
For your eyes, O Lord, are on
the righteous
and
your ears are attentive to our cry;
your face, O Lord, is against
those who do evil,
to
cut off the memory of them from the earth.
O Christ, you died for sins,
once for all,
the
righteous for the unrighteous,
to
bring us to God.
Through your obedience in life,
and
especially on the cross,
you
made many righteous.
These righteous ones cry out,
and
you hear them;
you
deliver us from all our troubles.
Be close to the broken hearted
and
save those who are crushed in spirit.
A righteous person may have
many troubles,
but
you have promised to deliver us from
them
all.
Though they may be afflicted,
do
not let them be utterly crushed;
for your Father protected all
of your bones,
not
one of them was broken.
The soldiers came and broke the
legs
of
the first man who had been crucified with you,
and
then those of the other.
When they came to you
and
found that you were already dead,
they
did not break your legs,
for Israel was not allowed to
break
the
Passover lamb's bones,
and you are our Passover Lamb.
who
has been sacrificed for us.
The evil you experienced on the
cross
slew
the Wicked One;
the spiritual foes of the righteous
were
condemned.
O Christ, you redeem your servants;
You
redeemed us with your precious blood,
a
lamb without blemish or defect.
Not one of us will be condemned
for we have taken
refuge in you.
who takes
refuge in him.
