Psalm 92 Prayed

Psalm 92 Prayed
Praising God for the victory of the cross

   It is good to praise the Lord,
            and make music to your name, O Most High,
   to proclaim your love each Sunday morning
            and your faithfulness every Sunday night,
   to the music of the acoustic guitar
            and the melody of the piano.
   For you make me glad by your deeds, O Lord;
            I sing for joy at the works of your hands.

   How great are your works, O Lord my heavenly
            Father.
            how profound your thoughts!
   For through the Church, your manifold wisdom
            is made known to the rulers and authorities in
            the heavenly realms,
   according to your eternal purpose
            which you accomplished in Christ Jesus my
            Lord.
   In Jesus and through faith in him
            I may approach you with freedom and
            confidence.
   Senseless people do not know,
            fools do not understand,
   that though the wicked spring up like grass
            and all evildoers flourish,
            they will be forever destroyed.

   But you, O Lord Jesus, are exalted forever.
            For surely your enemies, O Lord Jesus,
            surely your spiritual enemies will perish;
            all evildoers will be scattered.
   Having disarmed the powers and authorities,
            you made a public spectacle of them,
            triumphing over them by the cross.
   You Father exalted your power like the horn of a
            wild ox;
            fine oils have been poured upon you.
   For he anointed you with the Holy Spirit and
            power,
            and you went around doing good;
            healing all who were under the power of
            the devil,
            because God was with you.
   Your eyes have seen the defeat of your spiritual
            adversaries;
            your ears have heard the rout of your wicked
            foes,
            for you saw Satan fall like lightning from
            heaven.

   God your Father made you, who had no sin to be
            sin for me,
            so that in you I might become the
            righteousness of God.
   Therefore I will flourish like a palm tree,
            I will grow like a cedar of Lebanon;
   planted in the house of the Lord,
            I will flourish in the courts of my God.
   For in your Father’s house are many rooms,
            if it were not so, you would have told me.
   You have gone there to prepare a place for me,
            and since you have gone to prepare a place for
            me,
   you will come back and take me with you
            so that I may be where you are.
   Therefore I will still bear fruit in old age,
            I will stay fresh and green,
    proclaiming, “The Lord Jesus is upright;
            he is my Rock, and there is no wickedness in
            him.”

Psalm 92
A psalm. A song. For the Sabbath day.

1   It is good to praise the LORD
            and make music to your name, O Most
            High,
2   to proclaim your love in the morning
            and your faithfulness at night,
3   to the music of the ten-stringed lyre
            and the melody of the harp.

4  For you make me glad by your deeds, O
            LORD;
            I sing for joy at the works of your hands.
5   How great are your works, O LORD,
            how profound your thoughts!
Eph. 3:10 …through the church, the manifold wisdom of God should be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly realms,  11 according to his eternal purpose which he accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord.  12 In him and through faith in him we may approach God with freedom and confidence.
6   The senseless man does not know,
            fools do not understand,
7   that though the wicked spring up like grass
            and all evildoers flourish,
            they will be forever destroyed.

8   But you, O LORD, are exalted forever.
9             For surely your enemies, O LORD,
            surely your enemies will perish;
            all evildoers will be scattered.
Col. 2:15 And having disarmed the powers and authorities, he made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross.
10   You have exalted my horn like that of a wild
            ox;
            fine oils have been poured upon me.
Acts 10:38 how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and power, and how he went around doing good and healing all who were under the power of the devil, because God was with him.
11   My eyes have seen the defeat of my
            adversaries;
            my ears have heard the rout of my wicked
            foes.
Luke 10:18  He replied, “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven...”

2Cor. 5:21 God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.
12   The righteous will flourish like a palm tree,
            they will grow like a cedar of Lebanon;
13   planted in the house of the LORD,
            they will flourish in the courts of our God.
John 14:2 In my Father’s house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you. I am going there to prepare a place for you. 3 And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am.
14   They will still bear fruit in old age,
            they will stay fresh and green,
15   proclaiming, “The LORD is upright;
            he is my Rock, and there is no wickedness
            in him.”
